In
one of the essays in Walter Benjamin at the Dairy Queen,
Larry McMurtry writes about the connection between his passion
for antiquarian bookselling and his father’s cattle ranching.
Similarly, Brad’s love of tracking Thoreau and locating
editions of the books Thoreau actually read might be seen as a
translation of his father’s love of bow hunting. Brad’s
steadfast commitment to the field of Thoreau studies fueled his
eagerness to share his finds with others equally passionate about
all things Thoreau. In that spirit, we’ll be adding links
here to research material formerly available on Brad’s website
as well as some of Brad’s own writings. Please check back
